Wow

When this thread first went up I thought sure there will be a few nice fish but it should be easy fro the regulars to pick out a top fish. But atleast from my perspective I keep changing my mind. Perhaphs some of the more expeirenced and local keepers from this board should go to Richards to make the final selection after all of the prognosication here is complete. I would imagine that it is going to be to close to call just from pictures alone.

Yeah. It isn't as easy as it would seem. There's 5 out of this 15 I keep coming back to and not being able to place one over the other. And there's a lot yet to come before the final selection.
Even if we took a poll after all the koi are in and perused here, in the end, it may well take a trip to Richard's farm to figure this one out!

When ya wanna leave, Steve?

I'm not kidding. I'd love to do it! Gotta wait until we've seen 'em all here and been stumped (I know it's gonna happen, I just know it ), but I really REALLY would like to see the movement of the fish too--that in itself could be a tie-breaker. And more importantly, I'd like to meet and personally thank the fellow that is gifting me with the choice of the best of the best in his personal collection. I am honored, humbled, and incredibly touched by such a gesture of friendship from someone I have never been face to face with.

It's about time that gets remedied, don't ya think?

Marie

Definitely, nothing beats seeing the fish in person and likewise, it's nice to meet the giver in person as well.

this long weekend or any weekend should be fine. I just need an advanced notice in a day or two. I'll check around to see anymore else wants to tag along for fun. anybody wants carpool??? a couple hrs driving from the SJ is not bad at all.

obviously it will be a tough selection from a bunch of good looking fish. I am sure Richard can give some good pointers as well since he's the breeder. let's make it happens soon. I am too anxious. I am wondering what Richard's personal collection pond look like.

Steve/ Marie

I don't think Richard's farm is "open for business" as a dealer would be. The right thing to do would be to ask Richard first, don't you think????

Marie: You really want to know how I narrow it down to one?.... I really can't say. It's the one that "talks to me". Besides, Sanke #15 has red on the eye. I just don't like red on the eye of any koi.
