Henry,
Congrats on your winning Reserve GC. It's a gorgeous Gin Showa. I like it a lot.

Well, Rod, for a first time show put on by ZNA Southern Koi Ass'n on its own, I guess a little excitement was to be expected. Seems we will be having a dealer with integrity to patronize.

I think that is how most of the club sees it also, Mike. I can tell you that that is certainly how I see it.

How did you choose members Rod? I find your private ZNA membership process to be nearly as fascinating as the competition. Was this walk up traffic in Naples or some special koi kichi qualifications identified in these new members?

That almost makes it sound like others shows might not have integrity, but hopefully you did not intend it that way. Sorry I majored in journalism rather than strictly being in the hobby ;o)

John, I think both Joe White and I have tried to explain all of this to you before. Obvioiusly we have not supplied you with enough information for you to understand ZNA. I really don't want to get into this with you again and feel you may be getting some bad information or at least biased. Let me suggest this to you, start a new post and name it say What is ZNA and perhaps other will reply and do a better job of explaining things to you and therefore you will not be percieving a skewed definition on our part. I do get a tickle out of your continual inference to a private club, so let me clear that up for you. What you looked at was a members information about ZNA. It said Private Membership. That does NOT mean it is a private club, what that means is that particular persons info you acccessed meant that he was not a member affiliated to any one ZNA Chapter, instead he was a member of ZNA at large (private, not Chapter affiliated). That means you can join ZNA as a private member, you do not have to join as a individual in a club. If a club is not right for you or you are not right for the club, this leaves an open door to be ZNA, but non chapter affiliated (for all practical purposes).

Wow! I do find that amazing that the SKA ZNA is not a private club. Where does one send there membership dues? I've spoken with many and I mean "many" who likewise understood that your club from inception was by invite not by sending in unsolicited dues in order to become a member. Well heck where do I send my money? As for what ZNA is I do understand what it is, but appreciate your willingness to have others school me.

Rod, Why didn't you just say,...

Hey Rod,
Why didn't you simply say "John the membership application is on our website main page"? That would have solved this, but at any rate it is there which pretty much ends an old issue that has lingered for many years. Glad you had a great show. Too bad it along with North Florida's 20th Anniversary Show had to be the same weekend as otherwise I might have attended as Naples is so close anyhow.
