There were just a couple of vendors at the show. One I'll plug, although not an advertiser here.... Driftwood Gardens. They were the major sponsor of the show, supplying the workers and underwriting much of the cost. They want to encourage development of a koi and pond hobby in the Naples area, and are supporters of the Naples Botanic Garden where the show was held.

I can't finish, however, without just one more Showa.

I am so "not there yet." Henry's chagoi and Martin's asagi thrill me.

Did anyone get good pics of Lee's fish?

I've gone back to check my photos to find more of Lee's tank, but none that came out. Too much reflection, bubbling etc. to see anything worthwhile. But, Mick, if you check the first pic in post #21, you can at least get a hint of some that accompanied the Kohaku he entered. One of the most unusual koi is in that pic.... a Gin Rin Sanke Goromo. (!!) A very large koi I'd guess as being 30". I guess I was so in love with his Kohaku that I didn't try well enough to capture the others.

Nope Mike, my mistake all the way. I meant the Hardcastle's asagi. Sorry, Martin, great boat sized shiro.

Somehow I may get to see Lee's fish. What I heard was they were all new and he was pretty excited about them. I had noticed the koromo sanke but hadn't noticed the GR on it. Somewhere I saw another pic of his shiro but glancing back now I can't see it.

Thanks for your thorough reporting for us as usual Mike.

Hello,
Water temp in Naples always above 80 degrees. can't fatten them up because they are so active. My next house will have chiller with 25K gallons
pond.

Man I have to say that the pics of the winners were all impressive! And just Henrey C alone has a very nice collection himself! Shiro is off the hook.

Congrats to all the winners out there!

Hey Joe,
No, my pond is completely out door. It does have a 20 feet high cage with screen cover to prevent bugs from coming in. I am currently in Seatle and it is soooo cold here.
