Hosokai Kohaku

This is a 68cm female 5 year old from Hosokai. Let's hear what you think.

Russ

Of the three fish posted, Sakai (Matsunosuke), Torazo and this Hosokai, if size were equal it would be a very difficult decision. Right now, I would buy the Torazo to bring home in January/February and the Hosokai and hold it for another season to be grown out more. The oyagoi of this fish is Sensuke and 94cm.

Interesting pattern

The body conformation looks good and at 5 I'm surprized it isn't bigger. The pattern has a bit more character to it than the others, but the beni/shiroji on all 3 is pretty equal in terms of skin quality and bloodline.

Of the three I like this one the best but thats just taste talking. I love this informal pattern and the color and body are great. Maybe she's a little small because she is simply growing a little slower. I'd love to see her in a couple of years.

Russel,
I had seen this fish last fall at Hosokai's, it was a very nice piece. If I recall it had a few shimis then. Does it now?
