No, I actually was just looking for your name, and unless I missed it, still am. But please, don't let any of my questions change your personality and tone. That would just be wrong.

Actually, I found it when I searched "koi club of the air!"

Thank you for answering my question John. I have yet not had the pleasure of meeting you in person, but your resume is impressive. My hat's off to you. You may be a little sensitive. I am not being sarcastic.

Gossip columnists? So I'll ask you what Judge Winkler asked me, what are your koi credentials? How do you intend to expand the hobby here? My questioning what I took to be mere gospel from a judge and asking a bunch of koi kichis has been generally attacked while no body has commented on the thread I created asking about organizational help to improve area clubs. I see this as rather like someone who enjoys adult films criticizing it or maybe a politician that caters to his conservative anti-gay constituents turning out to be gay. Again, I'll ask what are your koi credentials and how do you intend to expand the hobby?

Unfortunately, this type of confrontation happens now and then on these boards.

May I suggest that everyone take a deep breath, acknowledge that things got overheated, apologize for any offenses, real or imagined, and move on?

Nobody gains from the hostility and conflict.

Oh I agree indeed. And if anyone has any club or hobby news that they want to get spread about a bit more just email me at the contact provided at www.koicluboftheair.org

That said I do think it a shame that there are domestic koi breeders and dealers in this country fearing for their futures due to federal orders and various regulatory restrictions and the hobbyist organizations appear paralyzed and unable to act. Considering I do another show called the Billfishing Times I know that similar issues are affecting recreational fisherman versus longliners and other commercial fishing interests, but they have the Billfish Foundation and other conservation/legislative institutional lobbying capability that can and does act. I won't stop prodding those in authority within the existing koi hobby to change regardless of whether they approve or not.

The think the fact that you are asking for Jim Reilly and Bob Winkler's credentials says enough. You have to create a new thread for each of these guys, as they are both tremendous assets to the hobby. I'll stop there as so far I'm being nice.
