Jim
Nice growth, and body looks great. Shiroji looks good. Very impressed with what you have done so far... Looks like menaware is coming, should be very interesting to see the development by next year.

Jim, I really enjoyed the photos. I pulled my wife over to the computer and had her look at your shots as well. It interesting to see the sumi on the head come and go while the body has become more defined the sumi seem very stable there.

Dick while discussing younger fish with my wife, I mentioned the black pectorals and how many times they pull back. I take it from your comments that if the first ray in an all black pec iin a tosai s white your probability of the all black pec pulling back is enhanced. Is that what you meant by your brief comment?

Just purchased a Shiro from Mike Hammock of Hammock Koi Farm and am eating up all of this shiro info. Thanks again for the great photos Jim.

Was looking through some old photos and found these that I took right out of the bag.

Jim, thanks for all the pix. The progression of your shiro utsuri is a great learning exercise.

Hey I wonder how long it takes for the sumi in the head to finish? Is this always the last place for sumi to finish? I have noticed the same thing in showa.

hey is this an utsuri thingy too? i found this fish with black and white in my cage yesterday, its back looks rather pink though like the gills of one of those shubunkin goldfish.
why dosent it have white scales and are those black parts underneath going to rise through later?
what breeds does utsuri come from cause all i have as a parent like this is this black and white fish that has a lot of greyish parts making up the black with some slight orange patch on the side or maybe it comes from my bekko, anyone know?.
