Lightbulb Living Art Transformed

On rainy stormy wind-battered days I tend to languish around the house, wishing I were anywhere else. *L* Yesterday was just such a day, and as usual I was bored to tears and in serious need of some sort of creative outlet. Digital art is another hobby of mine, so I dusted off the software that I haven't touched in over a year and spent the day turning photographs into watercolors. Of course you know what the subject matter had to be... *L*

This is Poppy and Dojo and the Canary in the QT:

And this is Zen and Songen in the pond:

And a study on scalation:

And Songen gliding up in pre-docking mode:

Maybe I'll make up some calendars of custom koi watercolors or mat and frame some prints as stocking stuffers for Christmas. I dunno.

Whaddaya think?

Marie

*muttering furtively to self* Wow......I stunned someone.

Cards--good idea. Never thought of that, but some of them might make some good blank note cards.

Guess what everybody is getting for Christmas now? *LOL*

Wow..I thought I was the only one who loves to play with koi pictures. These are two pics that I have on the front page of my website. The site is www.koigeeks.com (disclaimer:It is not an advertisement because I dont use it to sell koi anymore...More of me having fun with pictures when I'm bored).

Niice! You've got some great models there. Isn't it fun? I did Shiia's baby pic today:

It had looked like this:

And there's alot of other things besides the watercolors. Like this one:

...which had been this:

Koi make wonderful models. And well they should be, for they are, in and of themselves, living art.

Thanks for sharing your art, B!
