When do most of the attendees arrive in Tokyo for the AJS? I'm planning to train it to Tokyo Friday night and stay till Sunday afternoon, work on Monday...bummer.

Last year I got there Saturday morning at about 0930, and the judging was over already. Is that normal? Is the public allowed to roam the tanks during judging? Just wondering what the ritual of shows are.

I think the concept of the show is to get the koi and judging teams in place and completed so that by the weekend the public can view on saturday the results and then on sunday enjoy the awards ceremonies....

No general public allowed during judging. Keokoi, Bnkoi, Frank m, Nancy m. we all arrive on Thursday, going to do a little site seeing on Friday. Will be at show first thing Saturday morning and Sunday. Then off to do a little more site seeing and a little koi shopping for some.
