Possible T O S violation?

John Hawley is a professional. Not in the sense of bearing and behavior, surely, but rather it’s his profession: He makes money from his radio club business.

His ‘club’ website has advertisements which pay him each and every time someone punches through one of the several URL’s he shamelessly peppers his posts on Bito with. I haven’t wasted my time counting the number of times he’s posted them, but, gosh, if I’ve them memorized by now (‘cause I’ve seen 'em so many times), what does that say?

Since he’s milking both Brian’s hospitality and Brian’s flock for cha-cha-ching (with, I might add, the irritating insistence of a dog on a stranger’s leg) doesn’t that violate Koi Bito’s TOS agreement?

Oh, please say it’s so.

I was wondering the same thing. If Richard Rombold can't even post a picture of his fish without being an advertiser how can this guy pump his business here? I don't make that call and defer that to the powers that be, but the very same thing crossed my mind.

Ray has the right idea. It is really tough to do, but it is best to simply never respond. Just let his threads fall off the page.

Hmmm....

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Don. As you can probably guess, I've had to focus my energies elsewhere for the past few months and honestly haven't noticed. I'll comb through his posts and have a look and then have a chat with Jim. Feel free to PM me with anything else you'd like to add.

rgds,
