Yea, you may be right, but you know the selective breeding has led to other species. Anyway defending the position I certainly learned a few things about the subject from others and from digging for more info elsewhere.

Although Brett disagrees it is written in some literature that the silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix), grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella), bighead (Aristichthys nobilis) black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus), and mud carp (Cirrhina molitorella) are all a result of crossbreeding within Chinese aquaculture. And there are concerns over naturally occurring hybridizing between silver and bighead carp although their offspring are miserable they are not mules from what I gather.

Some Livebearers possibly...



Still, it depends, and it doesn't happen all that often. Scientists are picky. I am really happy about the announcement of Poecilia wingei.

So you believe Endlers Livebearer is not a guppy variety. In that case why do you support its delineation as a new species?
