What Is the Agenda of the American Koi Breeders Association?

There appear to be some real heavy hitters in the koi breading community associated with the American Koi Breeders Association. Can anyone speak to how the AKBA will benefit breeders and the hobby?

I was aware of some of the initial talk for the association and was hopeful to break the news when an event that was discussed was finalized.....But that part hasn't come to pass yet. But as you can imagine birds of a feather stick together for mutual benefit. We are very fortunate to have some first class koi breeders in the USA and a little self promoting makes sense.

I couldn't agree more. I've emailed Brett & Matt for more info as they are the reps scheduled to appear at the Southern Koi Expo. Hopefully they will be able to benefit not only domestic breeders, but enhance the hobby in ways not even yet seen.

haha!

Maybe they will have a voice in legislatures?
Maybe they will form a collective for improving quality and price?
Maybe they will improve the marketability of koi with national ad campaigns?
Maybe they will have their own breeders koi show at the Southern Koi Expo?
Maybe they will rule the world? Then again maybe not
