Koi Club Election Time: How Participatory is your Election?

It is club election time in many clubs around the country from what I gather. And I’m pretty darn proud of my home club the North Florida Koi Club for making sure the slate of candidates for next years board was prominently displayed along with invitations for everyone to attend and participate and picking their club leaders. And there is no rubber stamp that anyone can honestly claim is secretly guiding who will control next year’s board. How does your home club do it? Is there an election committee assigned? Are members encouraged to participate on the board and an election held to democratically allow the club to move in the direction the majority of members would prefer? Where there is interest in making a club a stronger more dynamic force in the hobby it takes as much participation as possible from longtime and brand new members alike. I like seeing everyone getting the chance to participate in the club they support with dollars and volunteer effort. How about you?

Maybe if AKCA started having national elections such leadership would encourage more democratic participation amongst the local clubs? As is there doesn't seem to be much interest in drawing attention to new ideas from new people.

Learn first, then present opinions

"Troll Alert"

Obviously, KCOA isn't in tune since the AKCA does have national elections that each club's AKCA representatives vote on. Anyone have a fly swatter?

I spent 40 minutes yesterday answering other threads so that this one would go away. There is nothing to be gained by this thread.

Exactly....it most definitely has an underlying agenda from someone with a vendetta on AKCA and judges. This thread has NOTHING to do with Koi, Koi health, filtrtion, ect.

Since this exact thread has been posted on all the koi boards on the planet (at least 3 anyway ), I will go ahead and close this copy as no one seems to be interested in this copy of the thread. Thanks.
