Nice

Thanks KoiCop, and yes I think that was the fish that Frank showed me back then, Easter at that time had 2 more but none as nice as this one.

Like I said great eyes.

Those pix show just a few of the koi in F & N's #2 tank. All their big girls were next door in Tank #1.

Thanks for posting wonderful pictures of how I imagine a balanced pond should be. Maybe not for everyone, but I always enjoy a mostly gosanke pond with a few other varieties to add to the collection not to distract from it. Never really liked the "one of each variety" ponds. You are truly blessed.

Thank you everyone, I am glad you enjoyed our pictures. We love sharing our babies, with everyone. As you can see our pond is all gosanke with the exception of the shiro's. When we first started we had a mixture of all the different varieties. As time went on, we focused on learning what makes a great gosanke, we have been studing and learning for the last few years. We have learned to appriciate the simplicity of Kohaku, the boldness of showa, and the beauty of sanke. In the process we also felt that shiro's also deserved to be placed in the same catagory as the gosanke. So we have kept only those 4 varities in our main pond. To be able to study and learn from them. We have enjoyed this journey so far, but know that we will never stop learning about these beautiful fish we call Nishikigoi.

You are so right Joe, by next summer our other fish will look small compared to her. They are lil piggies.
