Ok Ok.

Looking beyond this weekend. Who's going to make notes and document the key points of Toshio's Seminar?
Many of us indulge in the sharing of Newsletters and I'd like to see them over this side of that other pond.

Ditto for those of us unable to attend from right here in the States, Bern. Wonderful idea to share notes, etc. Too bad we cannot go to all of the shows/events surrounding our passion. That thing called 'work' keeps rearing it's ugly head. (Hrumph, grumble, scowl)

For those of you able to attend - Enjoy!

I will be videotaping the seminar as much as possible. I know others will as well.

In the month following this weekend, in between moving, starting a new pond build, etc, I will be putting together my thoughts in an outline form. I will be happy to share that outline on this board, but again, others may get there first

Getting on a plane in a few hours Plus finally get to see a couple of our new additions Sakai San and Russell have imported for us.

Holy Moly!!

I have been in contact with Agnes since early this morning as it seems they had some trouble with their flight. They are still experiencing very high winds back there and something struck the plane and damaged it. It could not be repaired to continue the flight so they have made other arrangements. They will be arriving about 6 hours late, but they will be here tonight and they are safe.
Talk about worry, but I just got off the phone with Agnes again and they are just boarding the plane to head out.

Thanks, Bob. I know how busy you are, and for you to offer sharing such hallowed information (no matter when it might be) will be appreciated. The videotape should be especially interesting. Good plan!

In hindsight, it would have been neat for Brady ala Koifixx to have filmed the whole thing, or at least highlights. What a great documentary it would be for a video magazine....

Looking forward to debriefing discussions with those who care to share,

M

Judging

The judging portion is now complete and we are having lunch. After lunch Mr. Sakai will be walking groups of people through the different tanks to point out how he judged the Koi. After that all of the papers will be graded and the winner will be announced.

Credit where its due...

Hi guys,

I would like to express my gratitude and say thank you to all that made the Matsunosuke Seminar such a success. In conversations with numerous attendees, it sounds like it was a unanimous yes to the education, value, and fun the event generated.

So here goes, to:

The attendees - your attendance and participation made the event what it was. I heard of people going great lengths to make it. One person, due to flight issues took 17 hours total to get there, wow! Thank you

The volunteers – for selflessly taking the time and help our club with the more ‘un-popular’ duties that are critical to the event. We had both ZNA members as well as non-members who lent a helping hand. Thank you

ZNA Nor-Cal – for being an organization that brings education to its members and the koi community. I can proudly say; “we did it!” Thank you

PSKoi – Our event sponsor who made the event possible, thank you.

And last, but no least; thank you to the “Sakai team” for sharing such a wealth of knowledge. Priceless.
