That is super cool. I saw her, but did not say anything to her, because I got nervous and did not think she could speak english, which I was wrong about.

One more additional comment ......Although Agnes , a very special person in her own right.....has contributed greatly as an interpreter for Mr Sakai...don't underestimate his
ability to understand the english language.

Yes, this point became very evident when Mike, Erwin and I were sitting with Toshio at his farm talking. A friend came in to start processing some pictures and we started to joke about something. I don't remember what it was, but Toshio laughed. This is when I learned that he understands more then he lets on.

If you are coming from out of town and are going to book a room at the Sheraton, the deadline for the room rate guarantee is February 9th. I know this is still four weeks away, but time flies.

Also, when booking ask for the room rate for the "Sakai Seminar".

Agnes must have quite a bit of knowledge in nishikigoi, since she follows sakai and translates at most of the english speaking countries for him.

seen the signed up list yesterday... koi kichies far from New Jersey, Oregon, and WA have been signed up for the event. I am sure this will be a great koi event that you don't want to miss. We reserved a big conference room for the event, so make sure to sign up in advance if you plan to attend....
