For me, it's Showa. Ever fascinating. ....But, if I could only have one koi, it would have to be a Yamabuki. I so miss not having one the past two years.

Kohaku... well, often it's showa, no sanke..... I agree with Ray. The best fish wins my vote.

Until this year, Kohaks were my last pick. Now they're right up there with Ochiba Shigure. I am a scalation and netting nut first and for the most part. But I still hold a lot of fascination for showa, and kohaku is rising like cream to the top of the crop due to an Ameican breeder I've come to know and appreciate.
