- I am not a big fan of Girin.... But this Girin Shiro utsuri has a good body comformation, interesting pattern, good motoguro.... It has a yellowish head... But it should not be a major issue for a young shiro.....

So this is an intersing shiro indeed....This can be a good one to raise...

BTW, unable to buy any fish during fall harvest season is a good thing.... It meant that your taste is high up now.....

Gotta keep searching....find one that makes the heart palpatate!!!
What do you guys think of this ginrin shiro utsuri? I was also considering this fish. Shiro Utsuri are a favorite of mine..and I never really see a good ginrin one.
Otherwise....I will just hold the dough until my winner comes along. I don't wanna buy...just to buy.

To be honest with you the problem with this fish is the kiwa of the pattern on the head is not clean and clear. The best and only time to find really good Kujaku is Fall, so good luck...

I'm no expert by any means, but I like this young Shiro even with the glitter She is still young and has yet to finish, but it has much of what I look for in a young fish. Good body, very nice whites and a pleasing pattern. The sumi seems to wrap deeply down below the lateral line from what I can see also. The pecs are very nice indeed for this age. Should tighten up as she matures. The head appears a bit on the yellow side, but that could be the photo, lighting or the fish has a bit of a fleshy head which is not that big of an issue with young shiro IMHO. Yes, the face could be a bit sharper, but keep in mind this is a young female and could very well improve in this area as she grows and with care.
