Matsunosuke Showas!

Here are three 45cm female Nisai Showa. I am sorry but the posses are not the best. They are all straight and free of defects.

What do you think.

Russ, what makes the "Matsunsuke Showa"? Meaning what bloodlines did he mix to derive his Showa?

Those are all gonna be big, because Sakai-san used magoi in his bloodline right?

I like the middle one. I am not sure if that sumi is coming up or if it is kage. Please enlighten me russ. Thanks for the candy!!!

#1 - Long head compared to the other 2, not sure if that is a good or bad thing. I would like to see more shiro, but a nice koi.

#2 - My favorite of the bunch. Nice kohaku pattern, shiro looks real good, would like to see the pectoral fins/motoguro but I'm sure its excellent

#3 - Big body, fat head, can't tell if its the pic but tail tube looks small, otherwise should be a big koi, very nice

What are you thoughts Russell?

My choice would be B also. I like the development so far with plenty of shiroji so as the sumi develops it will show all three colors as fairly well balanced.

Eric, as the sumi tends to develop from the tail to the nose, I would venture to say that the sumi is still on it's way up and would not end up being kage for the most part.

There is no "Matsunosuke Showa" , they are produced by Toshio Sakai of Isawa Nishikigoi Center. I just titled the thread that so that people would make the connection.

My bad....

Russ

So the sumi travels up from the tail to the nose. So where is best to have the sumi?
