What I found under the tree this morning was not a koi, a koi book or magazine. It did not even have a koi depicted on or in it. But it is connected to koi through this desire to know and experience more about Japan. Santa brought me a pocket translator, that will help me pronounce Japanese words correctly. So when I finally make it to Japan, I can at least try to say something in the native tongue of my host country.

Have a great Christmas everyone!

i woke up at my old mans house to one of those golden blind dogs- cant think of their name now..
it was swimming around in a small backyard koi pond trying to get herself fatter than she already was.
at first i thought it was just someone playing round in the swimming pool nearby, then the noises got louder so i had to investingate.
it had ripped open the birdnetting just above the water and was down on the bottom of the pond mouthing around hoping to get lucky, the ponds only about 2x2x.7m deep also it had dislodged the pump hosing so i dont know if it got any good ones yet cause its pretty messy in there.
pretty funny though, the dogs looking at me like its a true champion and done no wrong. i tell it to get out and it goes over on the lawn and tries to spew up something but nothing comes out.
then my old man comes down and says he let it in there casue its the neighbours dog. so he locks it back up in there until he gets the neighbour .. well theyre his fish hey.

koi cop, no way.. my picture pages where loading really slow this morning so i didnt see your pet dog but thats like the dog that raided the koi pond! i think mine was a labrador is that a retreiver??, yours has longer hair.

ive got this one dog at work that you cant leave next to a bucket or tray of kois or goldfish or he will snap them all up really quick. beware!
he even chases down various little live bearers.

I got what I wanted.

Books and a miniature Zen garden. Also a fish vase.
