Shiro Muji

Not sure if I spelled that right or not but Im sure you will figure out what it is.

I gave away to a friend that helped me pull my mud ponds this fall 6 shiro muji koi that were about six to seven inches because I thought that they would not have any pattern. I dont understand! I went to here house for a visit and walked around the back to her pond and these koi are starting to develope hi.

My question here is how long do you keep these koi before you deside that they are not going to have any pattern. Only one of these right now looks to be that the pattern in going to be somewhat ok and that maybe I should have left them in my mud ponds. These were from my momo parents and I dont know if this bloodline is slow to develope the pattern or if the hi is slow.

Breeding and raising koi is harder than I thought it was going to be.

You did the right thing. Shiro Muji that develops pattern late won't have much of a pattern and it probably won't last.
