Just a little bit to much sumi for me but otherwise its ok.

I'm not a big fan. Too many things I don't like. The shiroji on the head is very yellow. The base of the head hi pattern has 2 windows of white. Just very messy looking to me.

looks like your koi bumped it's nose on the ride over? Was he in the mud ponds this summer? That would account for the really colored face. It looks like a poster child for matsunosuke bloodline, strong body and heavy black.
Don't be in a hurry to loose interest in the koi, heavy pattern koi the bigger they get seem to fit the pattern better.

what part (town) of the NW are you at?

I split the Sanke in half so we can see what it looks like.

The first (Head to shoulder) half of the fish has some very weak beni spots, the shiroji on the head is weak and I think it will take awhile to condition the fish back to where it is suppose to be.

The second half has alot better quality than the first. Sumi quality it very good on the fish it is the beni and shiroji that is questionable.
