Sideview of Dick's Asagi?

I'm hoping dick can provide us with a sideview of the Asagi he uses as his avatar. If possible I would be interested in seeing how it looked when the avatar photo was taken, as well as how it looks today. Do you have pictures like that you would care to share Dick?

While I'm not sure Dick will be able to come up with really informative pics, the request brings up something else.

On the Japan Koi Online auction website it was frequently true that asagis and doits goshikis would get a clickable link for a second pic of the fish, an alternate view, for these fish a side view or both sides even. I liked these alternate pics, found them informative and couldn't look at one without thinking of Dick. Thanks again, Dick.

My asagis, of which I've only kept one, always surprised me by being so silver when viewed from the side, appearing to be blue only from above. Little rockets, every one.

Mickey, sorry I never got a side view picture of the koi at the age it was when the picture as is was taken.
The koi is 4 in may and has red in the dorsal now, and the red outline of the gil cover is compete. The red is up to the lateral line with a white stripe between it and the blue, which held it's beautiful aqua marine color.


if I could paint the sideways picture with words, the belly was white the red started on the lower side of the side and went up about a third to the lateral line. the red in the pec was pretty constant as a starburst about a third full in the pec. Quality on this koi was always apparent, the sex however was not and at first i was very disappointed it turned out to be male. But now with my magoi female and the hope of providing some rearing ponds in the next few years, he's turned out to maybe be a real asset. At the time of his purchase using his development as a learning tool was not even a thought yet...(murphy's law! )
