Gettin' Ready for Orlando

Things are really coming together for the ZNA Central Florida Koi Show set for March 9-11 in Orlando. Check out the speaker schedule at www.cfks.org . Ray Jordan is doing triple duty! Plus ... a wet lab, a ZNA judging seminar, a Friday "fun night", the ZNA Presidents' meeting.... and the show is coming along great. Rumor has it that there are going to be some dynamite Shiros entered (Auntie Sue: You'll have competition!!)

Virtually all vendor spaces are taken. Genki and Eastern are coming from California. (I'm holding a space for Champ a couple more days because Tom and Agnes have been taking time off.) Quality Koi/Nisei Koi Farm is coming from New Jersey. Purdin Koi is making a first time appearance (and I'm told there are some special Kohaku being brought that folks would not guess are domestic). Carl Forss/Keirin Koi has a couple of booths. Ray Abell is coming.... altogether, out of 50 vendor booths only 5 are unassigned (which includes ones I'm holding for returning vendors who've not committed). It is going to be quite a "Koi Fair". The best dealers from both coasts, and lots of dry goods vendors.

And, of course, the great raffles we expect. A special treat is coming from Kevin Pham. He is donating a raffle koi that he says will be "a special koi". He will be sending a pic in a couple of weeks. The last time he did this, it was an awesome female Sanke that has been an award winner in every show she has been in.

If you've not made reservations, better do it soon to lock in the low show rate at the hotel.

It's gonna be a great show.

Come on, Joe! The show has been growing out of being a "Florida show" and becoming broader in outlook. This year it will be more national in flavor than any of our prior shows. Got quite a way to go, but every year it broadens. Orlando in March has great weather and there's plenty for family to do while kichi absorb the show.

The judges this year are Galen Hanson, Don Kobashigawa, Nicole Lembke, Grant Patton, Penny Patton and Alan Stein... Both coasts well represented. But we need more Pacific coasters in the audience!

a 32 " kohaku will be coming to the party from a west coast owner. You will have the honor of it being her first show. She's been in America for a few years and is not something just brought in. Think you gonna have some wonderful top koi there....from what i hear

Already got my room booked and sent out a check to Don for the wet lab. This show just keeps getting better every year. Looking forward to seeing some bito members there.

Joe
Almost cheaper to fly from Cal. than it would be from Miami. Keep looking Joe, there are some great deals out there. Ask the wife to work a little ot for some spending money.

Yes, you must submit the application and money to attend the wet lab in advance. There will be 25 slots to attend the lab and only 25. No second lab will be offered even if we fill the first, so it is first with the forms and money to Don that will be able to attend this lab. It is a big weekend and it all starts for the public Friday morning. The wet lab is Friday afternoon at 1:00. Wish I could say we would make a second offering if the first lab is filled, but that is not our arrangement with Vickie. The good thing for traveling and wanting to attend the lab is that you don't have to bring anything for the lab, it is all being supplied.

Rod,
How much is the cost of the lab? Do you have link to download the forms?
