I have zero also. My money is on Joe Co. He also won San Diego several times. "In the early years" there were several So Cal people that won a lot but there names escape me. I'm sure there are several big winners on the east coast like Art. After we mess with this discussion for awhile does it matter compared to Japan? Who can compare to Kato? He really owned special fish.

Mark,
This is an excellent example of why it does matter. The koi hobby is not just about Japan. There is also a relevant and interesting US aspect to it. The early pioneers here in our country deserve some recognition, as well as current champions. The internet is all about recording all sorts of history for all sort of reasons. It's an interesting project for someone who is looking for something to do. Why not keep a score card?
