Nope. I'd rely on Mat. ...not just his eye, which is superior, but also his great interest in seeing his best handiwork develop. (I like the pattern on this one better.)

Mama is a gem. Even in person her size is deceptive.

Here is my opinion on this Kohak. The head shape is prefect, but from the shoulder back the body lenght is too short. If you clear the canvas of the art and focus on the bone structure of the fish it is too short. The only problem to me is the conformation, the shiroji and beni quality is fine.

We have several Kohakus on this thread , which one are you saying needed to be " Culled" ?
