Just Curious

I was wondering if anyone can say the goods and bads about this showa. It looks as if it has an unbalance kohaku pattern. I know that there is no "perfect koi" so, I would like to see what this koi lacks as a representative to its bloodline and variety.
As it relates to an unblanced Kohaku pattern. "Balance" is not always "symetrical". In addition, look at the wholistic view of this Showa. Although the beni may be heavier in the front, the sumi is heavier towrds the rear. These two aspects add overall balance to the overall appearance of the koi.

Steve has a point lil'dude, when looking at Showa dont look at the obivious. If you look at the artist balance of the Showa in all directions it looks great. On this Showa the sumi is not the acsent it is the beni that is. Back to the books lil'dude....

High Drama -- The Voting . . .

From Mark Gardner [http://www.koichat.com/]:

3 rounds of voting were required before it was confirmed GC.

The 1st round of voting saw a total of 10 Koi nominated with the showa taking 32 of the 95 votes.

The 2nd round of voting was reduced to just the top 5 Koi from the 1st round. In this round the showa picked up 45 votes, an agonising 3 short of the 48 it required for a majority verdict.

In the 3rd round just 2 Koi remained and the Dainichi showa took the title, 65 votes to 30.

Mark also has some wonderful pix posted on his site.
