Thanks for posting Brutus but you left a few things out. The picture was taken by Tim Waddington and was posted here first http://members4.boardhost.com/koimag...169173493.html

As a reminder to everyone if you take a photo from another website please get permission from the photographer or at the very least give his/her name and give a link as to where the photo came from. Thanks!

With all that said that is one fantastic Showa!!!!!!

Tim Waddington got the scoop my friend. Please give him credit. JR

Ooopsss , I see you already did. Nice work Tim, we all appreciate your efforts. For those that don't know, it is very difficult getting a pass into the show during judging- almost impossible in fact depending on who is show chair. The doors are LOCKED during judging. So it is indeed a 'scoop' to be there right after the judging is announced.

Just Curious

I was wondering if anyone can say the goods and bads about this showa. It looks as if it has an unbalance kohaku pattern. I know that there is no "perfect koi" so, I would like to see what this koi lacks as a representative to its bloodline and variety.

The motoguro seems a bit weak. Especially on the left pec. And it's only 84cm. But it's only 6.
