Thanks Don. I did read the sage advice from Dick Benbow, and that is a good reminder. Thanks. But for a new koi person, picking out a young fish, the words "can" and "usually" are a little scary.
Would tobi hi on a shiro utsuri, be it on the pecs or on the body, be regarded the same as for a showa? In other words, when looking at a showa, hi on the pecs or a few stray hi spots would be less appealing as well. Since the above advice stems from the showa blood in many modern shiro utsuris, does that mean a little hi on a young showa is also fine?
- Wayne, has a showa that had just a bit of hi on a pec, and without bowling it, it appears to have faded to a large degree.
