Thank-you Don,

I was planning my reply, then I hit page 2 and saw yours...These were my exact thoughts....

lil'duh . . .

you've been posting here for a year. Over 800 posts. How many of them were apologies for some of your patented 'stupid in public' posts? Too many to count, huh?

I've totally lost patience with you -- and so have a lot of other members who come here to learn, to teach or to visit with other intelligent members of the hobby.

Over 5,000 members here from all over the world. Top breeders, dealers and hobbyists. And then there's you. You've been talked to 'till we're all blue in the face. Nothing changes.

So here's the bottom line: You don't fit, you never did and you never will.

You can either leave 'Bito, or be shunned or be shamed. Your choice. Decide.

I think PMs might be better for some of these replies.

Back to the Showa: I'd like to see a better photo and I'd like to know the size. She seems to be very good quality with minor pattern flaws, but still an exciting pattern. Conformation in the proportion of weight/fullness in the front half vs the back half may be a comparative issue, or could just be temporary egg-laden phase.

I wouldn't classify this as a hi showa...but definitely a nice showa. I, personally, like all three colors on the head...but I would take this one in a minute.
Don...go easy on the young'n...he'll learn. He loves koi and has a desire to learn. Give him time...he may be judging your koi one day!!!!

At our show in Louisville , the judges meet on Sunday with the public to go over their thoughts of the koi in the show . When it comes to Showa's , I have heard just about every judge talk about the importance of all 3 colors being on the head of a Showa . When looking at a Showa , it's the first thing they bring up , when a Showa is lacking one of the colors .

Aspirin Taker-

Three colors on the head, three colors on body, three colors on tail.

Yep, a hard and fast rule. Unless there is a better fish without the three color thing.

Balance.

Yep, an absolute neccessity, unless of course there is an artistic assymetry full of grace and depicting powerful motion, then Pfft, balance doesn't matter.

Yep, only females...................etc.
