you would be amazed how much people are willing to pay for your culls. I had a really ugly dragon scaled blotchy black and gray one that I had not disposed of yet that someone offered me $40 for. He was the result of an unauthorized spawn in my pond last year. I though he was the ugiliest koi I had ever seen....but they loved him!!

Personally, I would rather sell my culls than give them away since people tend to place more value on things that cost them money. Not everyone is that way though. I do give a lot of culls away too.

You could list it as a rare "Fauxshiki" or maybe a "Nosagi" Wait, wait... It may be a "Notsuba" or a "Whatsunosuke"...

Definitely a pond mutt of unique genetic origins. But, one with a certain presence. Body is not bad. Has a sense of strength about it. Personally, I think a pond of Gosanke looks all the better when a plain sort of kawarigoi is mixed in... a Chagoi or something. The contrast makes all the koi look better. In a pond of Kohaku, your kawari would be like an uncut opal in a field of rubies and diamonds.

Of course, if it really means no more than 30 bucks to you, then ditch it and make room for the best Kohaku your budget can accomodate.
