A few of my fish

Marie wanted to see them.....so here's a few of my fish. I usually buy tosai and grow them out. I have some larger pond grade fish too....but I hope some of these are much better than pond grade. Most came from either Matt or Brady except for the large shiro. Got that one from Kerin.

Cindy . . .

you really have been upgrading, haven't you!

Love the big shiro from Kevin. She has a strong presence and projects power. Very nice. Can just picture her in the pond.

Cindy has really come along way FAST in her appreciation of koi. Her koi in the pond now are fabulous, and I agree, that SHiro is stunning.

When I grow up I want to have her eye for koi

excuse me, but I think you need to add something particularly blue to round out your very fine collection

Thanks all.....I have been trying hard to improve my herd. I really don't have lots of money to buy big koi, so I just get little ones from good breeders and let them grow. I know as they grow and my pond reaches capacity, I'll either need to cull or build another pond. I like the new pond idea the best!! LOL!!

The Shiro came from Keirin, not Kevin. Sorry for the confusion. He is a male and from Omosako.

Mitten....I can;'t tell you if you picked right because for some reason I can't see my pictures. I can post them....but not see them. Strange. I can see them from my computer at work though!! If we dont get hit with an ice storm tonight, I'll check when I get to work and let you know if you got it.

Dick, you are right....I REALLY need a nice Asagi. I bought a little one last year but it was shipped to me with mouth rot. I fixed him up (Amikacin and tricide neo dips) but I think the amikacin may have stunted his growth because he has grown maybe 1" in the past year. I'll cull him and try to get a new one at SKE.

Want to see what my herd looked like in February 2005? I still have one of these original fish. See the Sanke in the top left corner? I am keeping it just to show people what happens to koi when you don't take care of them. He's about 6 or 7 years old now, and maybe 14" long at the most. Bonsai koi!!! This picture was taken while they were in a swimming pool, waiting for the new pond to get done. Only that one made it to the new pond. I gave most away, and killed some of them too because I bought some new koi and didnt QT them.
