Opinions on this tosai sanke?

This little baby caught my eye. I'm thinking about it.

Any thoughts about it? I like the bone structure, but would like or second or third opinion. Thanks.

I like this very much. The beni looks very nice, although always hard to say from a photo. The body is as good as you could want in tosai. The underlying sumi seems perfectly placed. My question: Why is this one available as tosai?

KoiCCAPW: You seem to have access to unusually fine fish. I'd like to have you teach us.

Definitely a nice tosai frame. Looks to have possibilities, but I'm no expert on young sumi potential so I'll defer to others on that question.

Only one person I know of that uses that shade of blue tub for photos. Better hurry on that one, shouldn't last long at that price .

would have liked to be able to see the other side. I noticed some red in the pec and wanted to see if the red from the shoulder went down to touch the pec or if there was a gap.

don't even think about it, just reach out and touch something on your behind in a hurry. sumi on sanke shows very fast, only in couple of months compare to showa, couple of years. red color is deep orange red and uniform from head to tail, means that it is very thick, if red is thin, you can only see real red at head, fade a little on the body. only think is the red on one side prolonges, but when sumi shows, it will balance out.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Koimann, it's from a breeder lots of folks on this forum knows, I thought I'd see if anyone guessed. Thanks for posting your fish, the sumi is coming in very nicely, that's what I'm hoping for in this one.

Mike M, I don't know why it's this for sale young, my only guess is that the breeder has even better fish to grow out older. Access is available to anyone. Me teach you all?? Ha ha, that's a good one! I'm a very new newbie, been in the hobby only about 1-1/2 years, but have been studying a lot.

Papa Bear, I like the bones a lot too, but also don't know sumi either.

Dubtaco, ah ha, I think you're on to something!

Dick B, I didn't think about the side, good point. For the price though, I believe it is worth takeing a chance. Maybe there are more pics, I can ask.

Mojo, I agree the hi is a little long on one side but yes, if the sumi comes up there it will balance out. Not sure what I should touch on my behind (!?!) Do you mean I should buy it quick? lol!

Well, I think I've just about talked myself into it with everyone's help! lol! Thanks!

Like I said as soon as I saw that blue tub, I knew exactly where this koi was from. "Buy it now"

He has another nice sanke I had my eye on, but it was a male...
