Mickey

I went back and re-viewed the interview to refresh my memory. What I took his reference to multiple pond usage and jumbo production was the twofold benefit of multiple mudponds.
First off, from the first set of oyagoi pairings they are able to extend the fingerlings time in the mudponds to grow out Jumbo tosai for the marketplace.
From the 2nd spawning using different Oyagoi combinations they are able to produce nearly double the annual tosai production, leaving the culled down #1 spawning tosai population in one pond while growing out the late season tosai in another. Since JN was actually there maybe he can give a more detailed take on it.

I wasn't the only one there. Did you see that guy looking at all the koi at the end of the video? Thats Mickey . Seriously though I don't want to speak for Mat but I certainly will email him and see if he will reply to questions in this thread.

Yep, and who was I hanging out with JNorth? Mrs. J and Lil'J.

I also just heard that Mat is going to be sending an answer.

Excellant job Jim, always nice to see up close and personal video of anything especially when it comes to koi! Hell of place they have, would love to see part two in the future of thier operations.

Video interviews of breeders and thier perspectives is good!

I saved the link to my hard drive and now I can see the video instead of code.

I cannot hear Matt. The audio is coming through my computer speaker instead of my external speakers. I have the volume turned all the way up and still cannot hear him. Do you have any suggestions?
