Most expensive Koi in the world

Hi Guys,
I wonder if you guys have any article or picture of koi that cost over six figures.
I tried to google around it, but couldn't find anything.
Thanks

If the image size is too large you will not be able to attach it. Jpg's need to be less then 439.5kb and no bigger then 1000x1300 pixels. So make sure they are small enough and then hit "manage attachments" then browse for each photo and then hit the upload button.

One of these from Ikarashi was priced at 100 grand wholesale if I have the right fish and my memory hasn't gone to heck.

nice fish indeed. However, given that the GC of 37th all Japan was rumored to be priced at 150K, I think the price is to chase away buyers who are not serious, or someone who have managed to piss of the breeder.

Quite possibly. Anyway we all know that on fish of this size and quality the asking price isn't necessarily the " real " price.

I read that kodama has paid 100k for several koi. Two were from Uonoma. Big bucks...Fish better grow wings and fly for that kind of dough!!!

The Japanese have a different viewpoint than we do. Finding stuff cheep is a western idea. Most of us , even if we could afford $150,000 for a fish wouldn't pay it. " Rediculous , what if it dies ? I bet I can find a $1,000 fish just as good " is typically American. The Japanese view koi as a national treasure so the price they pay for a fish is immaterial as long as they can afford it as the fish itself is of great intrinsic value and the owner is honored to have it in his ( usually indirectly ) care.
