what is the correct size net ?

what is the biggest size net do you own? i purchase this 36" Matsuda net, maybe too big for my purpose ? b/c i don't think my fish will ever get that big.

Well nice Matsuda net first off....I have a 70cm net for my fish that are in the 15"-24" range...

I agree - nice big one. Net needs to be bigger than fish. It may depend on the pond and other factors as much as the size of the fish. The smaller the pond the easier they are to catch. They are easier to catch with two nets. Easier still with two nets and two people. You will sense when the net is too small or too large.

I have been playing around with using a "tickler". Its a long light piece of bamboo with a small flag on the end. Instead of swishing around with the net, hold the net stationary in the corner with 1-1/2 hands and use the tickler to heard the fish to it with your other 1-1/2 hands.

Maybe yo guys need to hear about the story when I was driving on US 101 and did a double take on a 100cm koi net in the middle lane.

No kidding...

Maybe Uncle Akinosan can tell us..

I have the 100cm not.. Not the US 101 model....

Mine is 16ft long 100cm and never seen a freeway...

Its for those Jumbo tosai that didnt grow!

They only grow when you buy the 4 for $100 Tosai.
