I used it in 1977 in a puddle of a goldfish pond. Lasted one year before turning brittle and disintegrating. It did a great job of convincing me to buy a real liner.

Welcome to Koi-bito Connor. I'll assume you are looking to save a few dollars....the liner isn't the place to do it. Go ahead and get the 45mil EPDM Firestone liner. You can save some money by making your filters etc.

... but some roof liner has a fire retardant which is toxic. You have to leach the pond for about a month and do a complete water exchange before fish can live in it. I did a controlled study back in the 90's to prove it. Probably worth the wait for the money it saves though.
