Once upon a time in the land of koi, an honest hard working dealer was given a frozen corpse to assess the reason why it had expired. This poor lady couldn't wave a magic wand and Bring it back to life so she could scrape it
and examine living tissue, hence she was not able to provide the information requested. Asked if the fish could be disposed of properly, the owner said that they intended to clean it and eat it altho it would be an expensive meal.
Overhearing the conversation, I assumed the gentleman was kidding only to be horrified to find out he was not in the least.
Moral of the story: No one can bring a koi back to life after it's dead and frozen.....and no one should eat the flesh of a koi that could be full of cancer causing cars

inogens. Chemicals used to treat ornamentals are not the same as used for food fish and could very well be retained in the tissue for a lifetime. If you love to read before retiring for a good night's sleep, read the back lable of the medicine bottles you use on your koi.....pleasant dreams......
