east bay koi

Where can I get decent, mid quality koi in
East bay Cali?

The best I've seen is in San Fran Chinatown.
But that's a long drive for me.

& hi guys, I'm Sylvester

Hi Silvester...welcome to our board. I was down your way last weekend, and got around to several of the dealers. I was very impressed with kari and Russ
at peters and sons koi in martinez. I think they have a nice variety of reasonably priced koi and well worth your trip to visit. take a look...www.PSKoi.com

Hello
Do you know their price range & how many baby koi they have?

I like the metallic koi, and well, it’s hard to explain.

I heard there’s a few great koi places in San Fran.

But parking is a problem.

I’m also looking @ edit by mod No free advertising! Thanks
I know I can’t afford top quality, but I’d like something better then
The average LFS, p.co etc 8)

Not familar with the store you listed in haywood. I think it would be worth your while to get out and do some driving and check things out for yourself
on the weekends. I would think with the weather still a bit cool, you wouldn't have to share the owners time with lots of willing customers like it's gonna be in a month or so....

come to think of it, I'm sure our KB family here would like to hear about your background, size of pond, filtration etc...why don't you take a minute and fill us in...are you a club member yet?

I got a 55 & 90gal tanks. XP3 & Emp400 & Whisper60 filters.
I don’t think I’m a club member.

I’m an amateur fish keeper starting at the bottom.
I’ve had some success selling used fish tanks & goldfish.
I’d like to get a bunch of baby koi!

I think the SF koi that I like sell for 3 for $15, & that is my budget.
I work in shipping & receiving, entry level.

Is there anyway that wholesalers will sell to the public?
Sometimes I only want a few fish, not wholesale…

& I’m dreading doing my taxes soon.

There are about a dozen koi shops in and around the Bay Area...I would google it and you can see. San Jose has the most concentration of dealers in Northern California 3 dealers within 3-5 mile radius. But since you are from the East Bay, you got Eldon-Koi, Got-Koi, PSKoi and Concord Pet and Feed.
