Preparation for the 2007 Sacramento Combined Koi Show is heading down the home stretch and this will be the biggest and best Koi event in Northern California this year.The Camellia Koi Club has made a commitment to produce a Koi Event that is better than the previous year, with the main goal of everyone who participates having a great time.The Vendor community has responded very favorably to this commitment in the form of Sponsorships. Once again our Corporate Sponsor is Peters and Sons Koi and Pond Supply. The number of Gold Level Sponsors has increased from one the past year to four this year. The Gold Level Sponsors for 2007 are Koi Enterprise, Oh So Koi, Flora Tropicana and Simi Koi. The number of Bronze Level Sponsors as of this writing is five and they are: Majestic Koi, Incharacter Asian Calligraphy, Star Milling, Aqua Master and Fancy Koi Outlet. This year there is space indoor and outdoor for 47 10’X10’ booths and as of this writing 42 have been filled. The Camellia Koi Club and the Vendor Community have committed to making the Sacramento Combined Koi Show the best Koi event in Northern California now it is up to the Koi Community to step up and meet this challenge by entering their Koi in the Koi Show. This year we have made strides to attract ALL KOI KICHI to enter their Koi in this Koi Show. The fee for Koi have been dropped, you just pay $40 for a 6’ Koi Tank or $80 for an 8’ Koi Tank. As previously stated there are three Divisions in the Koi Show; they are a Dealer Division, Open Division and Novice Division. Each Division will have a Grand Champion and Runner-up Grand Champion and the winners will each receive a large trophy. The Novice Division will also have a Mature Champion, Adult Champion and Young Champion with the winners also receiving trophies. Open Division has the majority of the trophies that will be given out. In addition to the two trophies previously mentioned, Mature Champion, Adult Champion, Young Champion and Baby Champion will also receive trophies. You may reserve you Koi Show Tanks and register online this year at our web-site (camelliakoi.org) and while you are there be sure to register for the Saturday Banquet.This year we will also have guest speakers giving lectures on various subjects related to Koi.A copy of the Entrant’s Packet and Sponsor packet are posted under Club News and Updates.
