Here is one I got my hands on. I thought Bill McGurk and Boyd newman were most helpful as well.

I've heard and read a great deal about Purdin's Kohaku. But I've not seen them in person before. The recent splash on the NI "koi for sale" boards was moving Purdin into a new market niche. The range of sizes and volume brought to Orlando made quite a statement. Purdin is fully competitive with the Japanese Kohaku generally available. Another reason for folks to open their eyes to the fish, not the breeder.

LOL....KK: Is that something like a tiger by the tail?

BTW, a couple of nice Showa in the Purdin tanks, too. But it was the Kohaku that stood out.

So, let's get walkin'.

Here is a shy Hikarimuji with such a pretty face I used up two batteries trying to get a good shot. It would have been easier if I'd moved the bowl, etc., but I did not want to put my hand in any tank.

Mike,
FWIW they call those Blue and Gold Macaws around here. This was sort of a back of the booth shot.

Then came one of my favorite tanks... a big Tancho Goshiki and a long-bodied Goromo. The Goshiki was a crowd pleaser.

How they get a goldfish to grow to 24" is something I'll never figure out.

Ah, back to koi....

Lately I've been enjoying the Hikarimoyo more. This was not the best example of Kujaku, but there was an atmosphere about it.

...and with her tankmates, there was a certain symetry that made this a tank to pause by.
