The tejima adds a balance to the fish's heavy pattern. In this case it is about the overall quality and how those parts mingle to create this art work. As hobbyist we have to realize that Sanke is the harddest of the GoSanke to create, then Showa. Jimbei style "Old" style Sankes are a rare find nowadays and as clean as this one is congrats to you on fine husbandary.

Not exactly, the skin condition isnt prime yet. The sumi will go through changes again to a more refine presence.

well thats what my breeder told me too .. this looks like the father and that looks like the mother .. but i m still unsure about it though because a mix up in inventroies could happen down the line espc due to enourmous number of fishes handled in big facility like sakai's. in short, better to trust my instinct to buy by seeing the fish, parent set info come second.

if i m not mistaken sakai only paired few of its kohaku with momo sanke. Instead a majority of kohaku were paired with male wakashoryu to create what some called new breed of modern sanke. and i believe this is to preserve the characteristic of wakashoryu. this is interesting as this year internet auction doesn't have any wakashoryu offspring up for sale. perhaps this famous oyagoi recent spawning is not good .. anyone ???
