Russ, did Isawa koi center suffer any damage in the earthquake a few days ago?

No damage, everything is fine here, Our flight was almost 12 hours because of headwinds and our trip from the airport to Isawa was four hours instead of 2 1/2. Boy are we tired.

Russ, we always take 12 hours from SEATAC to Japan, maybe the pilot was from Seattle. However, the additional couple of hours to Isawa, did you stop off for a brew or two?

even a sleepy day...

in Isawa is a good day Can't wait to see pictures! Russell said that they were all very excited to see fish and wanted to start vvvveeery early this morning, but when they saw the look on Miwa's face they knew they'd have to start a little later than they thought they would. Knowing my husband, he would love to have his guests at INC at sunrise...!!!

A Very Good Day!

My guests and I had an incredible day of looking at Toshio Sakai`s best Koi. I do have many picures to post but can not until we get to Niigata. The hotel we are staying at does have an internet connection but when I plug in my laptop it says that there is an IP conflict and I am unable to connect.

Today at the end of the day Mr. Sakai began to tell us about his clean water filtration system and then took us to see some of his best ponds with the filtration systems. I do not know why, but I did not take my camera with me. I will always be sorry for that. He took us to a pond that was built seventeen years ago with this system and has never been cleaned. OMG, this pond had the clearest water I have ever seen.

If that wasn`t bad enough, he then took us to one of his new green houses that very few have ever been to. It was full of some of he most amazing Tosai you have ever seen. He scooped out a few nets full of Showa and Sanke and.......well you can figure out the rest. It was like being in Tosai heaven.

Tomorrow Mr. Sakai will be showing us Tategoi Tosai.
