Can't wait to see what you find today. I know Hoshikin was high on your list this trip. I know he won't disappoint!

Do you still have your traveling companions with you? If so, say hello for me and to the Hosokai family as well. Looks like Junki is getting around these days! Talk to you soon

Mike
If someone has to do it, I wouldn't want to wish it on any one else.LOL

Yes, Duke and Nathan are keeping a low profile, but they are enjoying just relaxing. Amazing Huh! I have never seen Nathan relax before.
Tadaschi and Chiaki have asked how you are and if you are busy. I said that you were retired.LOL

It is now 8:30 Sunday morning and we are getting ready to leave. First stop is a new Hosokai location that has Shiro Utsuri and Kujaku. Then we head for Hoshikin. I am looking forward to it.

Ojiya Day2

This morning started out with a trip to a Hosokai greenhouse I have never been to. It turns out it is where they keep there Tategoi Tosai and Nisai over the winter. They also have some Shiro Utsuri and Kujaku there for sale, which is why we came. I bought three boxes of Nisai Shiro and Two boxes of Nisai Kujaku. Here are some pictures. The first picture is Masaru Hosokai netting Koi for me.

While at Hiosokai's I got a call from Torazo saying he had found some Koi I needed at Jirosuke. On the way over to Jirosuke I did a little sightseeing and came upon a family cemetary in the woods.

Cool Hoshikin Kohaku

I spent a couple of hours at Jirosuke picking up Koi for a customer so I did not take any pictures. None of the Koi would be available. Next was a trip I have been looking forward to for a long time. We spent the entire afternoon with Katsuyuki Hoshino of Hoshikin Koi Farm. This farm is pretty much all Kohaku and the Kohaku are impressive. We found a few other types of Koi there, but lets start with Kohaku. I am warning you, when you are done looking through the pictures you will be seeing red and white for a while. So fasten your seat belt and enjoy.

Before I started picking Koi, Katsuyuki walked us through his entire Tosai greenhouse which was full of Jumbo Tosai.

If you look closely at some of the pictures in the last post you will notice some Hoshikin Shusui and Showa.

Before I could pick Kohaku Tadaschi and Katsuyuki pulled out a seine net and the pulled it down to one end so that we could have a sea of Kohaku to go through. Oh man, what a thrill!!!!!!!!

Exclamation Warning!!!!!!!

If you are prone to druelling or can not handle the sight of gorgeous Kohaku you should not proceed any further. I am going to show single shots of every Kohaku I purchased. These Kohaku will all come with breeder certificates.

Please forgive me if some of the shots are out of focus. My camera had a hard time focusing through the water to the Koi. The water got pretty dirty at times as well, but I think you will be able to tell the quality anyway.
