Still working on new pond... and 2 new koi!!

Well...the new pond is coming along. It is roughly 16,000gal. 4 feet below ground and 16 inches above. No cement poured at all. Cement blocks with lot's of rebar and a black liner. Except for the backhoe digging..I did the whole thing by hand...myself...and it hurt...lots!!! My hands and back are still recovering. I will work on putting more filtration soon. I also plan on a fence behind it all and plenty of planting. Maybe some white rocks or mulch around the front. Any advice is appreciated. The two new fish are 7 inches. A kujaku and a ginrin kumonryu. I have never seen this variety of kumonryu before and was excited to purchase it. Both from Blackwater creek. Opinions are welcome. Spring is finally here and I am ready for koi hunting!!!

You'll enjoy the Kujaku for a while. The other, well.... each his own taste.

I'm surprised mike, they are a very striking fish. The fact that they constantly change makes them pretty interesting to own.

The changing pattern is interesting, but I've yet to see a 4 or 5 year old Kumonryu that I would want. A Hajiro would be nice, but not very visible in the pond.

sorry for going off topic here, but when it comes to Kujaku I was told to go for male since most kujaku female will developed a bad body conformation later in life i.e no breeders have so far capable of producing kujaku female with good body conformation (off course there's always 1-2 in a million exception). any comment on this?
