KOI UK open house

was looking thru maurice's chat line this morning and saw a preview of some of his koi for sale at his open house. Couldn't believe what he has accomplished and the price.

For those who don't know about this operation it is in the UK obviously and maurice has worked hard the last 3-4 years in gathering brood stock and breeding.

Here is a link to some of the Koi Maurice has decided to sell this weekend http://mauricecox.proboards54.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1175 460774

Hi Dick,

I've seen Maurice in Japan more than a few times in search of parent stock, and he is indeed serious about his endevour. Nice fellow that I hope can achieve his dreams.

Nice to hear from you Brian!

I think the world of koi benefits by individuals that are involved with a work they love and throw their heart and soul into it.

I don't think there is any doubt that japan is the leader in top koi production.
But with health regulations, import regulations, and things out of our control, it's assuring to have something available in all the different home countries. Just to know that we'll always have access to the pets we love.

I can provide a link if anyone wants to see photos of the weekend. My good friend Mark in the UK took some pics of particular showas and kohakus and I could not believe the quality! Impressive!

Hi Russ,
here is the Link: http://mauricecox.proboards54.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1176 664925

It's that time of year when a person really gets ready for the real enjoyment of having something new in their pond. I understand that this week will be an exciting time around your place as well......

Thanks for the link Dick. I don't go and check out Maurice's board like some do, but I sure miss his, and the other chaps', input right here. The chagois he's bred have been cool because of their variety, blue brown, green brown, yellow brown, and of course, brown brown so I wish there had been some closer pics of them. That is Mark making the bonsai rescue, right?
