I think the kohaku won because of its skin quality. Pattern wasn't stunning, but the skin made up for it.

I tried uploading some pictures, but the connection here is just to slow.

Kari and I picked up tadashi Hosokai today from SFO and he brought up the Kohaku. He asked if we had seen any pictures of it. I said yes, but that a lot of people say the pattern is not very interesting. His response was simple, "it is a very high quality Kohaku".

Yumeten

These are "Yumeten", koi displayed by breeders.

This koi is nicknamed "King Cobra", bred by Ooyama Koi Farm, 5 yr. old and nearly 80cm.



A 75cm sanke bred Sakai Hiroshima.
