filtration

there are two 4 inch bottom drains...two sets of vortex tanks ..an advantage 15 bead filter..a 120 watt uv and a bakki shower...the uv i just added.. the bakki shower is made with plastic trays instead of the stainless steel.. i will probably change that later... the pond also has two 500 watt lights in the front wall......i will try to take a couple of pictures inside the pump shed..the vortex barrells hold about 900 gallons total...150 gallons each...

Very nice indeed! It's obvious you did your homework before starting the project. Good planning and use of materials. It was hard to tell, but what are using in the showers. Is that actually BH media or something else?

How do you like your Advantage Bead? I'm installing one on my new smaller pond this spring. I also added the glass filter!! Many that have them speak highly of them.

i spent last year building the pond in my spare time..of which i have little.. the pond got finished in the fall so its been running without fish so the bead filter and the rest of the system hasn't been put to the test yet...i think i like it though...i also thought about the glass filter but i am not sure if i need it with the vortexes and the bakki shower..

i took the plunge and bought bacteria house....i like the idea of the shower ..hopefully the different types of filtration that i'm doing create a healthy environment for the koi...and some clear water too...
