Hoshikin Kohaku

We brought in 54 boxes of Koi today, so I did not have much time to take pictures. As you can imagine it takes time to unload all of the Koi. I did take a few of some of the Hoshikins. The Jumbo Tosai are all 14" - 15". You can see Kari's hand for a little perspective.

Females!

There were quite a few people at the store to look at the Koi and we have not found a male yet amongst the Hoshikins. We have not gone through all of them yet.

Great Example of Sashi!

Take a look at the right shoulder area and take a look at the Sashi.

i can't believe i'm in the bay area for business but won't have time to visit PSKoi as my meeting doesn't get done until 4pm tomorrow. It'll take at least an hour to get across the bay bridge on a friday afternoon.

Russ,
I see what you mean about the Sashi on post #4, and the same trait is clearly visible on the 2nd shot in post 5. As good as they look now... later looks even better with that depth.
Another thing that REALLY impresses me is the fact that these fish are freshly unpacked after a long trip across the big pond... If this is how they look in what is likely the most stressed condition they'll ever see... how will they look once fully acclimated to good water once again.
