You know your officially Koi kichi -- or as my wife would say, a complete lunatic -- when your backyard starts to look like this...

An endless array of swimming pools! Water, water, everywhere...water!

Sometimes my wife wakes up screaming in the middle of the night. "No more pools!" Okay, so I'm exaggerating, but just a little.

In case your wondering, the 15' pool above-ground pool is currently being used as a growout pond for some of my younger smaller Koi, including my two Marusei growout chagois. The 10' Intex pool, which I just added last weekend, will be used as a spawning pond and to growout any resulting fry. That's my precious Boo Boo pretending to be shy as she poses between the two pools...

Joseph, you have accumulated even more water! And fish! My wife calls one of the ponds on the side of our house "78", but she hasn't woken up screaming yet. Thanks for the pics (Hi, BooBoo) but you know I'm still awaiting the pic of Gabriella clobbering you with the koi net. Duck, Joseph, duck!

I knew I was koi kichi when I quit the koi club. You might think why is that koi kichi? Less socializing, less drama and more focus on the hobby at a different level. Also, is there a think called "Goldfish Kichi".....
