Which food are you using Sue? Joe mentioned you were using Sweet Potato, how do you like it?

The Hi Silk with Sweet Potato...and I love it. I'm feeding it with Danichi Premium. I also toss in some fruits and veggies a few times a week. A month before shows we add Pearl Barley with Garlic which seems to help the whites perk up.

Joe told me about the Sweet Potato blend. Expensive, but I feel it's worth it. Even though the fish are indoors and I can only feed 2xs a day and still keep water quality good, I'm still getting a bit of bulk on the girls. Can't wait to offer it more when they get outdoors.

That's about it for our feeding routine.

I don't know how long it's been available as I just found it last fall. The sweet potato is a good veggie and helps put on bulk. Lots of good things in it. Many collectors feed cooked SP, but I found that is quite messy in the water. I like this much better.

For about 4 years now I have been using Sweet Potato and found that my fish dont show the summer stress feeding syndrome. I like the fact that I can feed it all year around without having to worry about how the weather will swing from day to day here in the Bay Area. The proof is in the pudding I guess and having raised a couple of show winners on this diet no need to change.

Do you feed as your staple? I assume the whites are holding well even with the SP included????
